Introduction

Malala, one of the major activists who helped to solve Gender Inequality in Education, was shot in the head, for trying to get girls the proper education they needed. After several surgeries and procedures, she was able to get back up and talk to people again about `the problem she was passionate in. She, now twenty years old, is still fighting for girl’s rights for education, and for her own rights as well. Many young teenagers look up to her as a role model, and many teens are also starting to speak for girls’ rights around the world.

Author's Note

At KIS, students are encouraged to be active; to be teen activists. The 7th grade started to research and write E- Books to inform and to persuade people to help solve a specific problem they want to solve. I chose ‘Inequality in Education’ as my focus problem, because education is one of the most important things children should have, and because it is unfair if one person gets education and the other doesn’t. However, since in many countries, girls and boys are treated differently(especially with education), I took a step further and chose ‘Gender Inequality in Education’.
